Ask the Expert At Commisso's

On April 16th, Commisso’s on Thorold Stone Road held an event called “Ask the Expert Day”. Hosted by Jennifer Cox, a Naturopathic Doctor from the Falls, it was an opportunity to have questions answered and to create awareness around naturopathic medicine. Naturopathic medicine is based on an individualized approach, meaning that they look at the patient as a whole to determine “why” the patient experience’s his or her symptoms. After taking a detailed health history with a patient, they combine the science of conventional medicine with the wisdom of naturopathic therapies to develop a therapeutic treatment plan that is unique to the patient. Jennifer is trained in standard medical diagnostics such as physical examination, laboratory analysis and medical imaging, but she also integrates the mind and body as a whole to get a complete picture.
