The Hartman Fishing Derby
The Fort Erie Conservation Club (FECC) promotes and establishes local conservation education, establishes and maintains local conservation areas and establishes fish, bird and animal habitats. On May 30th the FECC held their 26th annual kids fishing derby in memory of Kevin Hartman at the Stevensville Conservation Park. Children under 12 years of age (and accompanied by an adult) brought their fishing rods, tackle boxes, bait and tried their luck on catching the biggest fish. A grand prize was awarded to the one who snagged the largest fish. The club provided free food and drinks to all the youngsters.
