Lions Clubs Charity Golf Tournament
The Lions Foundation of Canada operates Dog Guides Canada, a national charity that provides dog guides to Canadians who are visually impaired. The cost to train and place each dog guide is approximately $20,000, yet the trained dogs are provided at no cost to qualified applicants. On May 26th, the Lion’s Club district “A2” region 5 held their charity golf tournament with proceeds directed towards the Lions Foundation's dog guide program. A well attended fundraiser, participants enjoyed 18 holes of golf (with cart), door prizes and an exciting awards banquet. Three specially designated holes also gave golfers the chance to win some great prizes.
