Discover the wonders of nature in Niagara. This seminar, presented by the Bert Miller Nature Club, will be geared to beginners interested in learning how to identify the various watefowl species and where to find them. Identification techniques will be covered by Marcie Jacklin, an avid birder who has led numerous seminars and field trips in the Niagara Region. There will also be a section on birding optics, such as binoculars and spotting scopes. Those attending will be invited to put their new skills to use at a guided outing, led by Bert Miller Nature Club volunteers, scheduled for the following Saturday, February 6th, at 9:30 am. (Snow date: Sunday, Feb. 7th ). The group will meet in the Old Fort parking lot on Dominion Road and then proceed along the river to observe the waterfowl at various points.
